First Phase
Mother complains of pain. Uses the Antenox( a kind of analgesia) every minute every sec. Contractions gets more regular n harder. Vaginal examination done at every 15 min. Cervical os is measured to be 7cm at 2.30pm. 3pm, cervical os has widened to 8 cm. Mother complains having a slight urge to push. Continues to grab on hubby's hand. Hubby's hand is still in one piece.


Second Phase
Staff nurse did a vaginal examination again. Cervical os is now 10cm. Time to start the birth process. Mother start pushing. Staff nurse n doctor puts on their gown n gets the equipment ready. Hubby by the mother's side, consoling n encouraging her. Mother starts to feel the REAL pain of labour. Staff nurse stretched the vagina, baby's head could be seen. Continues to tell mother to keep pushing on the next pain/contraction. Baby's head abt to pops out. Doctor inject some lignocaine (analgesic) on the perineum. Doctor snips abt 1 inch of the perineum. blood starts spillling out. On the 3rd push, baby's head pops out. Mother is already exhausted but she needs to make a last push for the shoulders to pass through. Mother starts saying she can't do it. Doctor scolds the mother n force her to keep pushing. Doctor tugs on the head, trying to pull it out.

Baby is out but not crying. Staff nurse carried him to the suction trolley. Using a suction tube, sucks the amniotic fluid in the baby's mouth. Staff nurses slaps baby's bum a couple of times, making him cry. Baby cries.


Third Phase
Mother's vagina kept vomitting out blood. Doctor stuffed in some gauze into the vagina to stop bleeding. Doctor sews the perineum area. He then stuffed his whole arm into the vagina to collect the gauze that's been stuffed earlier on. Mother is lying exhaustingly in bed. Hubby's hand is almost crushed. Doctor is pulling on the placenta cord. 1 min passed. Placenta is out.

By the end of the whole 3 phases, there's a pool of blood in bed.
